The school festival is creeping closely behind the door. Yano isn’t doing jack but when some classmates ruin a backdrop some girls were working on, he offers to help redo it. Nana’s sister (the AyanamiRei/yuki clone) tells Yano that he doesn’t ever do jack except when at the last moment he’ll come and be the hero.

Nanami defends Yano saying that when the push comes to shove, he will come through. After that, Yano tells her that he doesn’t need her defending him. For a while, he then basically just ignores her or avoids her in class or in the hallways. Nanami becomes sad and starts to remember how all those times he was nice to her, and wonders which is the “real” Yano.

The day before the play Yano shows off and basically knows all his lines. The next day however, right before the play Yano gets stage fright and forgets most of them. However, the play becomes comedic because of this and the audience loves it anyway.

After the play is over the whole school is having a bonfire thing and everyone’s celebrating the end of the school festival. Nanami goes looking for Yano but he ends up finding her instead. He says he found the jewel that fell off her ring (that she bought for herself.) He takes some glue out of his pocket and glues it back on and places it on her finger. He jokingly says a wedding vow and she goes “I do”. He then turns around and says “I’m only gonna say this once so listen closely. I love you.” And then he kisses her. ^^
