For those of you complaining that no one was subbing Bokura ga Ita, well apparently someone is so you can all throw confetti now :P. Will try to do this best I can as I watched this last night and Dreamhost turned into a nightmare. Basically Yano hasn’t been around much because apparently it was the anniversary of his ex-girlfriend’s death. He doesn’t show up to the practice for the play, he doesn’t show up for the matsuri, and it makes Nanami a little sad. She finds out from his friend about the anniversary thing so she decides to pay him a visit.

She visits his house and at first he won’t let her in so she starts bitching & cursing at him, but then is led inside by his mom. Inside he seems like his happy old self and then he tells her if he could skip a few more days because he’s sad. She sees through him and says “you’re such a liar” and then he smiles & goes “Ah you caught me”. She sees his photo album and looks inside to find that he has no photos of his ex-girlfriend in it. He tricks her acting like he does, but then tells her that he doesn’t have a single photo of her. She tells him that he’s not alone, and that she’s always watching him before she leaves and that he better show up for practice tomorrow.

The next day Yano shows up at school. In the meantime they are trying their robes on. Nanami picks the red one and they give Yano the white one. He tells her that it looks nice on her and that her Yukata looked nice too. She asks how did he know since he didn’t go to the festival, and he shows her on his celphone a photo of her in a Yukata. He says that Takahashi sent it to him and that he regrets not going. Nanami is really surprised and happy and then Yano asks if she really can “look after him” all the time. She says yes and then he asks her to hug him. =3

In the next part of the episode, Yano is sleeping and we see he is having a dream which is basically a recall of his past with his ex-girlfriend. Apparently he met her while she and her boyfriend were at a restaurant. Her boyfriend threw water at her and left and she asked his group of friends for money to pay for the food bill because she didn’t have enough. Yano notices bruises on her arm and she says that “Not everybody’s perfect, and he’s just a badass which makes him cool in my eyes”. So basically her boyfriend beats her and she’s okay with it. (How typical :roll:) Later Yano sees her waiting for her boyfriend in the cold but he never comes. Yano gets her a hot cocoa can and then eventually we see how the two of them get closer trying to find “happiness together”. They go as far as having sex on her graduation day and then one day in his room, Yano finds that she has bruises again. He slaps her and says that she betrayed him, and she says she only “saw” that guy. He tells her she has to promise to not betray him or he’ll never be with her again. She promises him that, and the next day he finds out about her car accident & death.

Yano then wakes up and notices he and Nanami are the only ones left in the classroom. He asks why she didn’t wake him up, and she says because he looked like he was havin a nice dream.
