Sapuri - 01
Dramas ahoy!
I haven’t seen a good drama in a few months (Kurosagi sucked) but this is gonna be the hit of the season. The title refers to “Supplement” and specifically the supplement of a working Japanese woman who is so busy with her job that she can’t balance it with her love life. Instead, she has a supplemental relationship.
They meet coincidentally because Kame (I’ll say their drama names later i’m sorry for now using real names XD) leaves his phone on the train and Misaki picks it up because the ringtone is annoying the hell out of her. Little did they know that later they’d meet at the same company because Kame takes a job at a commercial producing company that Misaki is working at.
Kame’s apartment gets trashed so he ends up staying with one of the CEO (I think?) The reason is, he figures out the guy’s having a sexual relationship with one of the OL’s (what a shocker!) and he black mails him into letting him stay. In the meantime, the guy’s ex-wife and daughter are also staying because the daughter is having some kind of concert finals going on. The guy is never home, and always at the OL’s place doing you know what.
Because of an important client note fallin on the floor, Misaki has to do extra work and miss another dinner with her boyfriend who was going to propose to her. Because of this, he instead ends up breaking up with her. She is upset but she hides it and Kame tells her that it’s not her job she loves, but it’s “being alone” that she loves. He can’t leave her alone (as typical) and tries to talk to her about why she picked her job and why she keeps working so hard. In the end of the episode they do sort of a yoga exercise to lift their spirits and Kame says that he was happy those 15 seconds and wishes they could have lasted longer. (15 secs is also the amount of time a typical Japanese commercial lasts.)
Coming next week: Kame and Eita fight for Misaki! Eita sux, his hair cut is ugly as hell D:

“Btw as a little trivia, Eita & Misaki were in Lunch Queen together =3.”
Bah, I could’ve told you that. ha ha… I cant wait to watch this, almost done with the download.
Cool lemme know what you think
I liked this episode more than I thought I would! Like, it was more enjoyable. Some scenes that stood out for me was the scene of Misaki coming home and just sitting there alone. ;___; And my friend said she was a bad actress; i thought it was pretty nice.
And I like it when they did the commercial together. i liked that commercial rofl.. then again, i have a liking for insurance commercials… don’t ask. LMAO.
and good Lord, kame’s hair looks beautiful in this.
like.. it just looks so soft. I want to twirl my finger around it. LMAO.
BUT YES. looking forward to the development of this drama. episode wasn’t overly cheesy or anything so i’m happy.
yea its awesome aint it?
I dun think Misaki is a bad actress
I think she did a good job in Densha Otoko and Kikenna Aneki
[...] Yeah, well, ignore the title, that’s all I got for ya. Sapuri which means “supplement” was recommended to me by Hinano and I thank her deeply for this’ll get me back in the dorama watching groove. Lately it’s been clearing the backlog of anime and watching j and k-movies, but this, this is my savior. Plus, it’s based on a manga, too! [...]
i have a question, u know that part where she gets home from working like crazy and missing her date, whats the song thats playing? is it another ayaka song?
Good question..
I checked the ending credits and the only song title I saw was “Real Voice” but it didn’t say “ending theme” so maybe it was that.
otherwise I’m not sure I never heard the song and the artist doesn’t ring a bell to me
The insert song when Minami misses her date is “akaya - ブルーデイズ (buru deizu = blue days)
edit: ayaka hirahara. gomen ^_^’
Wow.. this was a really good episode but I’m really confused about Misaki’s proposal.. the whole thing with the box of.. (what is it? o_O).. and when she was telling Kame about meeting him and when she became a really good worker he’d give her a box instead of a ring..?
I probably don’t even make sense, I’m just really confused.. proposal was really never mentioned, just ‘ring’ and..
Okay.. I just need help. >_>
I know what you mean
Basically like instead of giving her a ring he was going to give her a box of uhm those crackers? Or whatever the hell it is that the commercial was for (apparently they fell in love from working on that CM together?).
For some reason to me that seems like a proposal though XD
I didn’t like it. The first episode is cute, but the lead actors suck. Kamenashi Kazuya is OK, but Itoh Misaki is the worst actress ever. She is pretty and she was fine in Densha Otoko but Kiken na Aneki is the worst drama I’ve seen in my whole life. But yes, it’s pretty slow and predictable, so I didn’t liked it.
^^; lol i actually liked Kikenna aneki, altho i gotta admit her character was pretty annoying and I only watched it cause i like Moriyama Mirai
I have to say that I’m impressed. Whole j-drama thing is pretty much unknown for me so maybe it’s just my noobness, but compared to previous, rather bad shows Sapuri felt real and something that I can relate.
Youtube is sometimes good site to have. =)
I disagree that Kurosaki sucked, let’s just say… it lacked impact. It has its own few touching moments, but it didn’t leave any kind impression to me when it ended. And so, my fingers were tempted to push the delete button as soon as I got the series done.
As for Sapuri.. it was ok. The first episode was fine, I guess a little better than norm, but in comparison to Orange Days’, I guess it will have to hide back in its shell.
lillith> orange days goes into that “terrible disease so we feel sorry for the person” category and its better compared to stuff like taiyou no uta i think.
anga> they actually have dorama on youtube now?
