Fangirls, fish and manslaves. So as predicted in order to protect Nina, Ichi and Zero are gonna stalk her 24/7 (Shakugan no Shana anybody?) They pick her up for school in their stylish air corvette and get chased by the Owl kids who keep throwing pink pirahnas at her. When they get to school the chaos continues…

Now every student (fangirl) is pissed because Nina gets 2 oh so hawt guys following her 24/7 (and stealing all the seats of her friends). The owl kids (which I now coin as Team Rocket) decides to disguise themselves as students to get closer to Nina…and for some reason the boy dresses up a girl and random guys start drooling at him. (Princess Princess anybody?)

In the meantime Nina’s still in lala land about “a hero who will save her” and she has an accident where she almost falls down the stairs and Ichi catches her. This is followed by him going “Are you ok?” with bubbles and sparkles around his head causing Nina to blush and run away in doki-doki mode to the bathroom…where she is harassed by fangirls on whether the guys are her boyfriends, friends, manslaves whatever.

As she gets separated from the manslaves, Team Rocket comes after her with more fish. In the meantime her manslaves are getting harassed by the fangirls. Zero manages to push them aside and run off to help Nina but Ichi takes his time being the “nice guy” who all the girls are ‘KYAA!!’ for. Eventually Ichi joins Zero and they blast off team rocket who claim “we’ll be back!!” Nina feels bad because Zero got hurt but continued protecting her blah blah…well she has a change of heart because…

…Zero and Ichi have moved into her room. Well rather they have turned her closet into a magical space that basically leads to a “room” where they will be living (even though theoretically they are still living in her closet…:?) Nina of course flips out, yells, cries and does the same thing she did at the end of episode one.

Some points of interest are the lack of mouth movement. There were numerous scenes where someone would be talking and their mouth would just be open and not move. I mean I don’t know much about animation but when I make animations in flash, moving a mouth is like THE EASIEST THING TO ANIMATE. There were also a lot of scene repeats, (i.e. Ichis “daijoubu?” with the bubbles was played twice which was kinda freaky.) Also many times I noticed the mouth would be moving in the same pattern and the person would pause speaking but the mouth would continue to move. I mean no offense but what kind of budget is this? 500 yen? Oh well I still find the show cute to watch. Coming next week: Ichi makes out with Nina…I think.
