If you thought the previous arc went slow, I suggest you grab your pillows while watching this one!
This is also the only arc so far that doesn’t start with some gruesome scene. So apparently this arc came “before” to the previous 3 arcs, and it’s now from the point of view of Akasaka-san and Keiichi is basically out of the picture. While most people were probably watching fireworks, I was watching this…but mostly because it turns out my apartment balcony faces the opposite side of Philadelphia…where the fireworks were happening
Anyway on with the show. Based on last week’s MKV mishap, I got the idea of doing Ouran Anime x Manga comparisons for the rest of the series. Since a few people already blog it just for the anime, this will be something “different” for you to look at aside from just typical episode summaries I suppose.
Generally the episode followed the manga pretty closely. This was the last chapter of volume 4, and afterwards is a special side comic that the mangaka draws every once in a while completely unrelated to Ouran Koukou. Continue Reading »

Am I the only one who still watches this show? I think it’s bloody hillarious! One of the few rare shows that actually make me laugh out loud.
The first segment deals with everyone busy studying for exams. Those who do not study, have the “teacher” ghost haunting them…basically everything they see/do has this ugly teacher’s wrinkled face on it. So it attacks Harima and he’s seeing everyone’s faces (and his lunchbox) as this teacher. He goes to Itoko for help and the first thing she does is shoot him in the head (literally) and tells him to study.
So he does and the ghost goes away from him…and instead haunts Tenma. Continue Reading »
