Tsubasa Chronicles II - 10
This update was supposed to be posted yesterday but due to my microwave spontaneously combusting and the internet dying it’s about 24 hours late :P. Oh well not much happened in this episode aside from the “wrap up” of the ongoing arc.
On a note of this series, I’d like to discuss “guilty pleasures”. What exactly do you define as your “guilty pleasure”? Because to me “guilty pleasure” is watching an anime series because I feel guilty that I purchased 7 volumes of the manga, I’m also 7 volumes behind reading it, and I feel like I have to watch this series because I scanlated the entire manga set of Card Captor Sakura and bought the 2nd season of it fansubbed on VHS back in the olden days. So now I’m guilty because I feel due to all of the above I must persist and watch this series no matter how freakin bored I am of feather captor Shaoran.
What I’d really like to do is catch up on the manga and do comparison posts since summary posts are boring if like 10 other people post them ya know? But currently I’m on volume 6 of Midori no Hibi so that probably won’t be for a couple of weeks.

Guilty pleasure… Well, I define it as something I find intellectually sucky yet it still manage to derive pleasure. Take for instance my fascination with Gakuen Heaven. Or even the time when I was totally engrossed with the Sailormoon LA drama. I even blogged the damn series till the end. Hee.
Regarding the TRC anime, I have to admit I’ve only watched till ep3. As for the manga, I pretty much ignored it earlier when I read the first few volumes. However, one boring afternoon somewhat changed my POV. The latest chapters are giving Shaoran&co (sans Sakura) depth. It’s getting a little darker and I’m surprised at these developments. Hopefully, this means CLAMP has stopped their ego-trip. It’s about time they start focusing on the story.
LMAO ego trip
I’ve bought to volume 7, and then I got tired of wasting money and I downloaded the rest raw (lol) so I’ll get to reading it eventually.
hey I liked gakuen heaven it was cheesy but fun. xD And sailormoon LA…hmm I think I liked it at first then it got like really bad when they had sailor Luna or whatever rofl. the tuxedo mask guy was pretty hot though
I can’t put my fingers on it, but for some reason, this series is just plain boring. I loved CCS and its slow pacing, but slow pacing just does not suit this series. Sometimes, I wonder if CLAMP does not recycle its characters, would it attain the popularity it has now?
I agree with you on that like I also find it boring but as I said I just feel this guilty feeling that I have to keep watching it since I’m so into this series. (I’m also hoping itll stop bein so repetetive.) I think the characters are probably what’s keeping this show popular…I know if it wasnt for Sakura & Shaoran I wouldn’t even bother with it. The manga art is craptastic
