Love GetCHU! - 12
Being a seiyuu sucks! Remind me to make a mental note never to try out for one in case I have the random urge to fly to Japan and do so.
So yea I’m still watching this series and I just can’t stop. Maybe Momoko’s determination, or maybe it’s the pity I have for her, or maybe the secret desire for her to totally upstage that annoying blonde chick. Momoko finally gets her first job, even though it’s a guest voice for a character that’s about to “move” (aka leave the anime.)
Of course everyone there treats her like a n00b, and totally rags on her for being “clumsy” and talking on the wrong mic and not conveying the proper feelings of a preschool child. (This anime they’re all voicing for by the way is called “Child Girls” and is a stupid fanservice title about freaking preschoolers who with magic powers turn into busty women in skimpy outfits ). The director makes her redo her line like 30 times too. During the break, that blue haired dude (I have to note to remember his name as he seems to actually be important now) gives her advice by telling her that at “one point, everyone was a newbie too.” In the 2nd part of the recording they call it a day but the director tells her that “Why couldn’t you do as well in part A like you did in part B?” So he asks if she would be willing to re-record and of course she agrees and after many hours they finally get it.
So afterwards, they all go to a restaurant/bar/diner and every seiyuu except Momoko and Miss Blondie biatch get drunk. The director says “hey newbie show us something interesting!” and she does her famous “takatakehfkshfkjdf” whatever line and then everyone (drunk as hell) tries to compete. Miss Blonde then gives Momoko the bill saying “You’re the new girl, so you gotta pay.” I’d be like “bitch ill shove that bill right up your…” but yea that’s how Japan is, they gotta suck it up and deal with it.
In the mean time Atari-kun gets chosen to be the 原画マン. I THINK that means he’s the lead animator? Someone correct me if I’m wrong I couldn’t find it in a dictionary. Anyway the anime he’s animating is of course coincidentally the one that Momoko did the guest voicing for.
Coming next week: Seiyuus become idols…so what else is new?
