School Rumble II - 12
I know it’s called Nigakki but it’s a “II” for me (just like Tsubasa Chronicles II :P). I’ve been browsing around random blogs at work recently and randomly looking at people about pages….and man you guys are making me feel like an old fart. (Yes all you kiddies still in high school or college :lol:) But I digress.
The episode basically centers around Tenma’s birthday. The beginning is a short clip of Tenma (and Harima’s) dream sequence about her being tall, popular, pretty and then having Harima convince his love to her. Harima overhears Tenma might be stuck alone on her birthday because everyone’s too busy craming for finals (figures) so thanks to his brother he gets the idea to invite Tenma and Yakumo out for the day. Yakumo doesn’t come instead that other girl with the short hair does (I’m sorry to anyone who’s a fan I can’t remember her name.)
What I found most amusing about the whole episode is Harima trying to get a date guide from Itoko’s room while she was sleeping and the whole sequence of traps she had set up for him (including a plate of curry that isn’t shown in the screencap I created on the right.)
Well it turns out that the restaurant that they go to is really expensive (like beyond reality I mean come on $180-300/item menu? What is this, Ginza? :lol:) And then to his luck his brother and Tenma decide to have an eating contest on who can eat the most meat racking up more on Harima’s bill.
He’s about to finally give in and tell the Chef that he can’t pay it off, but Eri comes to his rescue and says she’ll do him that favor at least once since it’s Tenma’s birthday.
The episode ends that Harima wanted to tell Tenma that his birthday was the day after hers but was unable to do so, and…so he spends his birthday alone at the zoo. He claims that “it’s okay” because he was able to see Tenma smile the day before.
Honestly I really do feel sorry for the guy. I haven’t read the manga (yet) so I’m not sure of the “cannon” pairings but even though I was Harima x Tenma in Season 1, in Season 2 I think he’s better of with either Eri or Yakumo (but it appears that it might be Eri oh well who knows :?)

cannon pairings? XD. Even though school rumble does feel like a skirmish at times i don’t think there is shrapnel flying around. I think the term you’re looking for is ‘canon’.

I’m a pairing whore lmao I always have to find SOME kind of a pairing but this show is too damn difficult (but thats okay cause its funny :D)
