Sugar Sugar Rune 51 (finale)

Damn another one ends. :( It’s really ironic I started blogging when half the series I’m watching ended this week or are ending next week. ^^; Oh well there’s always the summer season.

Give me your SOUL! (and heart too)Last week Pierre’s body got posessed by Graus (Glass? I dunno) and he had the magical power to rip hearts out of Vanilla and Chocola, but since Chocola has the super l33t powers she got from Anble (Anburu?) she was able to stop him from doing so and run away to get the unicorn. (Really what’s with this unicorn thing?) I recently read the manga so this is gonna be pretty long as I’ll be doing some comparison stuff since it’s the first and last thing I’ll probably be writing about SSRune until further notice.

 

After the whole running away thing and the unicorn telling them to kiss his butt and they don’t deserve to be queens etc, Chocola’s mom shows up in the form of that cat. So yea the cat was her mom who was turned into a cat thanks to Graus’ curse. She buys Chocola & the gang some time to run off and catch the unicorn (give it up gals) but they run into the Noir castle where their powers really weaken, except for Chocola’s because she’s just l33t. There Pierre/Graus catches up to them saying how Pierre died and Chocola killed him because she awakened his pink heart thing. Chocola gets all sad and uses the technique Vanilla used in the exam to “see things you normally can’t” and is somehow able to make her way to Pierre’s real heart where he is basically “sleeping”.

She then grows magical wings out of her back, which create a path to where Pierre is and she walks over and tells him that she loves him, (in the manga he was the first one to tell her he loves her) and he says that there is no hope of him ever coming back. She says “please come back I’ll even give you my heart!!” I'll give you my heart~So she did  literally which basically caused her to die for a couple of minutes and her soul flew into Pierre’s body where they embraced and stuff and he gave her HIS heart. So then she revives and together they “defeat” Graus by basically kicking him out of Pierre’s body. Then Pierre says he’s going to save everyone by sacrificing himself even though Chocola said “How can you? My mom couldn’t do it.” But somehow he does and….

 

 

Woohoo!! FINALLY! About time guys.   

So then everyone is saved, Pierre’s last words are “Chocola I wanted to see your form as a queen” and then Chocola wakes up with a dead (or so it seems) Pierre next to her. Then Mr. Unicorn boy shows up and says something about everything Chocola wishes for will be given to her or something or other, and then Pierre wakes up going “I”m alive?” I was disappointed here I was expecting Chocola to jump into his arms or something like in the manga xP.
What? I have to study to be queen? Drag.
Well it turns out that the queen is Vanilla because even though Chocola got the Unicorn thing, she used it to save everyone and also Vanilla had more hearts. But then right after Vanilla is crowned, she gives her crown to Chocola and says that Chocola is a better fit queen and this is better for the kingdom.
The whole thing between the 2 kingdoms is still not resolved and Chocola’s mom goes back to Noir to take care of Graus because he’s still wandering around somewhere and she said she didn’t know why she returned to her original form. Chocola and Vanilla request that they go back to earth to learn more about the human world and generally everything’s the same…except Chocola and Pierre’s relationship ;). There’s a little scene of Chocola, Vanilla, Uu and Soul walking towards Pierre and his group but then they stop, Pierre kneels down and kisses Chocola’s hand, causing the member chicks to scowl, Vanilla to giggle and Uu and Soul to gag. The end!Then Chocola goes into a monologue about how she’ll be a better queen of both kingdoms when they join together and there’s a cheesy shot of her and Pierre floating by the moonlight and eventually kissing.

Just for the record the manga is STILL GOING. Well as far as Tankoubons it’s still going and I have the first 5 (or was it 6?). The most recent one ended with Chocola and Pierre escaping from this world (which wasn’t in the anime) with Pierre dressed as a girl ^w^;; and he says “Chocola I love you” and the last few pages say “While we were falling back down to the human world, we were actually falling in love.” So yea the anime may be over but the manga is still going. Btw if you like the anime I strongly recommend you to read the manga. It cuts out a lot of the fillers, I mean the whole Vanilla getting pissed thing was already in the works by volume 3! Also Pierre fell in love with Chocola way before Vanilla got “saved” by her. The anime seems to focus more on Chocola and Vanilla’s friendship, while the manga focuses more on Chocola as the main character and the things around her (*coughPierre*) ;)

    yea i love the manga it focus on about chocolate and more romantic than the anime.I have read til book 6(which so far there only is 1-6 book publish).Pierre hugged chocolate saying he would slowly change thr relation between the 2 worlds whatso ever….chocolate feeling sad coz they are frm different place n they should be enemies,hoping that the war could be resolve….(thats about the story….sort of)

    i absolutely loved this series. the ending was sweet and for the most part i understood it because it was in japanese. but still omgshh thats so sweet. can’t wait to read the manga.
