Kirarin Revolution 12
Despite most people hating this show (yes I admit the girl’s voice is like nails on chalkboard) it’s actually getting really cute and I’m digging all the shoujo sparkles and random bubbles and sakura petals flying about. ![]()
But what does Seiji-kun have to say about this? I really don’t know who to root for now. I was all rooting for Seiji, but he’s acting as dumb as a log lately and Hiro’s making all the moves on Kirari. XD Basically Kirari and Hiro are chosen as roles for a drama called “The Sonata of Love and Youth” (which is a DIRECT parody of Winter Sonata…the korean drama that swept Japan 2 years ago). There’s a kiss scene and since Kirari is 14 she has never had a boyfriend or kissed anybody before.
In the first recording of the drama she really screws up so Seiji offers to go on a date with her, but when Hiro complains he says “Then how about the 3 of us go on a date?” See, dumb as a log.
And to further prove his logness, during the “date” he ends up giggling over his pet turtle having a girlfriend in the pet store window while Kirari and Hiro go on their own rendezvous. To not get lost in the crowd Hiro has Kirari hold on to the back of his shirt. Anyway, eventually Kirari sees a bakapuru (a pair of lovey dovey morons) and decides she has figured out how to act her role of the girl for the drama. During the shooting, she falls flat on her face and just as everyone is about to be like “man she’s hopeless” she gets up makes up some lines and the shooting goes successfully.
Coming up next week: THE KISS SCENE! The previews didn’t give much except a few shots of Hiro and Kirari’s blushing faces. Now this is what shoujo is all about! :D:D

Thanks for blogging the series. =) I actually dropped Kirarin, but I’m still curious to see how it continues. It seems to be quite hard to find any blog that review this so I’m looking forward next posts. =)
What can I say, I’m a sucker for corny shoujo love stories xP
I know that this is mindless shoujo and I shouldn’t read too much into it, but when I observed the “date” scene, it seems that Seiji-kun schemed the whole leaving Hiroto and Kirari alone thing. At first when they are walking through the crowd, Seiji-kun seemed determined about something, and then he was rather, shall I say, happy, when he got separated from the two.
hey where did you get this story when is the movie coming out??
wow, that scene where hiro and kirari are walkin in school uniforms looks like it’s from CLANNAD…O_o
