Aw it’s finally over ;_;. Though I’m still stuck wondering whether this is BL/Shounenai or not? It feels like a thin line between Shoujo and Shounen Ai to me because even up until this episode Tohru is in complete denial of being gay, same for Yuujiro and when the topic gets brought on the table everyone giggles like a little schoolgirl.

So after Tohru’s cousin gets bitchslapped for saying that  “It’s better to die than to have you treat me like a sister” (Oh big difference, instead he’s actually your cousin so I guess that kind of incest is okay?) she slips and falls off the cliff but luckily Akira was smart and before all the confrontation he ran off and got a mattress at the bottom of the cliff. Wow nice thinking Akira!  So then after having a long chit chat she went back home and Tohru’s dad told him that he wanted to start over as a family again and asked Tohru to come back home. Of course this is a complete damper to Tohru’s cross dressing career and his in the closet relationship with Yuujiro so he gets all sad and starts thinking on what to do. Then some guys overhear him speaking with the rest of our boys and they start a mob of “Don’t go Tohru Hime we can’t live without you!” and Tohru decides to stay at the school and they all live happily ever after in their dragqueeness…yea.

 The only thing that revealed any truth of BL to me was this:

 After Tohru asked Yuujiro “what did you think that time” and Yuujiro was all shocked and blushing (aww) going “I wanted you to stay, isn’t that obvious?” I guess that explains the meaning of the ending with feathers, hugs and BL action (which is about as much BL as I got in the entire series.)

 

The thing with this show that’s different from Gakuen Heaven is first of all its more humorous. Second of all aside from the fact the guys like GUYS (even though they look like girls) it’s really hard to distinguish is this BL or what? In GH when Kazuki has his hands all over Keita everybody’s okay with it…but when they start talking about “Tohru and Yuujiro’s” relationship both of them are like “NO YOU GOT IT WRONG! It’s a misunderstanding” so what is it guys? You both in the closet or is this really that fine line between BL and Shoujo? I’m pretty confused. I’d be interested to see what the manga is like but I really dislike buying BL manga (I’m a shoujomanga whore myself) so maybe one day BookOff will have a copy I can browse through to decide whether its worth buying. If anyone read the manga post your comments I’m curious to know what it’s like!!
